Scorch Release

Scorch Release

Scorch Release is an advanced nature transformation that combines fire and wind chakra to generate and manipulate heat.

Scorch chakra is similar to actual fire in appearance but possesses far more mobility, making it all the more deadly. Whether one unleashes the chakra in bolts, streams or waves, the effect it has on the target can vary depending on how they react to the instanteous in heat; they could burst into flame, explode violently, melt into fluids or  evaporate into vapour.

It can also rapidly increase the temperature to the highest possible limits, far beyond what humans are able to survive and even harm the surrounding environment with its heat. By raising the heat, it can at least exhaust other people as if they were caught under the desert sun at its peak or be taken to such extremes that vegetation spontaneously combusts and earth begins to melt.

Those who wield Scorch Release have been known to break down the nearby terrain by vaporizing all of the moisture trapped within, melt down metal weaponry into useless slag and turn lakes into parched pits. Human beings are no less vulnerable as scorch chakra can vaporize the water inside them to turn them into withered husks or burn them so thoroughly that the flesh is scorched from their bones.

Its power has been used to devastating effect in the war even outside of direct combat by destroying entire stretches of fertile land and turning them into kindling for the flames that followed. Such power gave its wielders the worst kind of infamy among their enemies. Even the Land of Wind, homeland of the kekkei genkai, has old superstitions of them being responsible for extending the size of the desert with their power and calling down the wrath of the desert sun upon them.

Composed of the two chakra natures most suited for offence, this advanced element is undoubtedly one of the deadliest in existence.

Pakura – She was an elite jounin of Suna and the strongest wielder of this kekkei genkai, gaining great recognition in the Third Shinobi World War as the Heat Haze. Her speciality in turning her enemies into withered husk was a technique that couldn’t be blocked by normal types of defence, granting Pakura an incredibly high kill count. And as Scorch Release is a highly effective defence against Water Release – its heat capable of instantly vaporizing water except in immense quantities – she was often pitted against mist-nin who despised her for her skills. Unfortunately this reputation led to her death when she was sacrificed by her own village for the sake of an alliance with Kiri.
