Boil Release

Boil Release

Boil Release is an advanced nature transformation that combines fire and water chakra to raise its temperature to boiling point and create vapor.

Rock Style Boil Release

Boil Release can be internalized so that the boiling chakra is contained within the body. The excessive energy of the superheated vapour generates extreme pressure which, in turn, enhances their physical strength and speed.

The exact amount of extra force is proportional to the amount of chakra being boiled and how quickly it boils. Boiling a massive volume of chakra at once can grant the individual immense strength that could bring down multi-storied buildings in a single blow but it is short-lived. Whereas steadily boiling a smaller volume can grant them strength to shatter boulders but allows it to last for some time before it expires. And the strength produced by Boil Release far exceeds that gained by standard chakra enhancement.

A side-effect is that boiling hot vapour is expelled from the entire body which can burn everything and everyone around them, supplementing the damage they can inflict with strength alone.

The Five Tailed Horse was the original wielder of Boil Release. By boiling its enormous chakra, Kokuo was able to reach unmatchable speeds as its raced across the lands while leaving massive clouds of steam in its wake. Its jinchuuriki gains this same ability and have all been known to be physical powerhouses because of it.

Han – The last of the Five Tails’ Jinchuuriki, he built on the legacy of his predecessors by designing a personal suit of armour. The furnace strapped to its back allows the steam that would be trapped within the armour to escape without damage the metal or themselves. Han could take advantage of his strength to bear the heavy armour while using its to enhance his blows further with the heated metal. Few enemies were willing to face him directly on the battlefield once they witnessed this juggernaut in action.

Mist Style Boil Release

The Terumi Clan was a kekkei genkai clan from the Land of Water who wielded their own style of Boil Release.

Rather than internalizing their boiling chakra, they specialized in releasing it directly upon their enemies. And instead of merely relying on the heat of the chakra reaching boiling point, they learned to alter its natural acidity so that it becomes a corrosive mist.

This acidic vapour can reach a level of strength that it can melt its way through solid rock or metal, to say nothing of human flesh. They can fill their surroundings with it to prevent anyone from drawing close without being melted down, release a mass of acidic vapour from their body to scald anyone at close range or shoot pressurized jets of acid that tear right through solid obstacles in moments.

The difficulty of the jutsu is how hazardous it is to allies as well as enemies. While the user’s automatically neutralized the acid upon contact avoid harm, no-one else has that immunity which means that anyone around them could easily be wounded by accident.

The horrific damage they could inflict on human flesh earned them a foul reputation as they victimized enemies and innocents alike in their battles.

Terumi Mei, the Fifth Mizukage – She is the only one to wield the acidic Boil Release combined with her equally acidic Lava Release from possessing two kekkei genkai. Any fight against her turns into one where the environment becomes a lethal hazard as the enemy finds themselves surrounded by corrosive acid while Mei herself is unimpended.
