Explosion Release

Explosion Release is an advanced nature transformation that combines earth and lightning chakra to generate explosive force. It uses the two opposing chakra natures to violently destabilize the composition of any substance it interacts with to cause an explosion. The more chakra used then the greater the force and scale of the explosion.

It it mostly commonly used to detonate the air around the caster’s body to damage their enemies. They are able to direct the entire force of the explosion away from themselves to avoid harm while unleashing a devastating, often lethal, blow upon their opponents. Naturally, those who wield Explosion Release are most feared for the damage they can inflict at close range, potentially causing explosions with every punch and kick that can easily tear apart human bodies.

Other uses include turned an object or weapon into an explosive by infusing it with chakra which detonates when triggered, blowing up the ground directly beneath their target like a land mine, firing a wave of explosive energy that blows up any obstacles upon contact or even turning their enemy into an explosive. Even the type of explosion can be manipulated to unleash to more concussive force than heat or vice versa.

The only known wielders of this kekkei genkai live in the Hidden Rock. They make up the majority of the Explosion Corps, a division that specializes in every possible use of explosive and participate in missions requiring demolition and large-scale destruction.

Most Famous Users

Gari – A veteran of the Third Shinobi World War, Gari was once the leader of the Explosion Corps. He was considered the one of the most lethal close combat specialists of his time with this power, combining explosions with his punches and kicks to blast his enemies at the same time. By setting off well-timed explosions as he moved, he would boost his speed in sudden charges or practically propel himself through the air in any direction he needs.

Deidara – He brought a unique level of inventiveness to Explosion Release by combining it with his clay creations. This made him far more versatile than other wielders as the mobility and capability of his exploding clay allowed him to adopt tactics others could not, and yet he was still more powerful than the rest. His only weakness was that his obsessive artistic sense meant that he refused to use his explosion in any other way from that point on, leaving him vulnerable in regards to close combat where other Explosion Release wouldn’t be. But as much as Onoki despised Deidara for his actions, he couldn’t help but think that he would have been a very powerful successor.
